“My brothers were in bands, older brothers, and their keyboard player – really funny charismatic fella called Steven Taylor – he showed me on the piano how to play boogie woogie. I think this is where the drumming started for me because as soon as I learned that, sort of, getting that left hand to jog and create a rhythm, and then riffing a little bit with the right – as soon as I got that, that was like a revelation.”
